For most of my life I thought I just didn't have a green thumb and gardening was something that other people did. I thought all the failure was my fault and I struggled to grow anything that I could even eat. Then I discovered a simple step-by-step method of organic vegetable and herb gardening that gave me success at last! When I first started out, I just wanted someone to show me how to set up a garden, teach me what to plant when, and how to take care of it. Well, now I want to be that person for you! I want you to experience the overwhelming joy of that first sprout in the spring! I believe strongly that vegetable gardens don't have to be boring, they can be a beautiful addition to your home, no matter how much or how little space you have available! And growing your own organic vegetables and herbs is a great way to get the whole family invested in what's on their plates.
The exact trays I use! You'll need one with drainage holes and one without — they stack together. The 10x20 size gives you enough microgreens for a big salad all week. These are the non-draining trays.
These are the 10x20 size draining trays you will set inside the non-draining trays to grow your microgreens.
These are the clear plastic covers you will put over your non-draining and draining tray combination.
These are the exact heat mats I use! They get placed under your plant trays for seed starting plants that require warmer temperatures to germinate most effectively.
These grow lights are full-spectrum and they attach to wire shelving with chains that enable you to raise and lower them easily. This is a set of 4. Plus, they plug into each other, so there is only one outlet needed.
This shelf rack is heavy duty enough to handle all your seed starting and microgreens growing needs. The measurements are 36" wide x 14" deep x 72" high.
These blocks make fantastic growing medium for your microgreens! Just rehydrate and break them up, mix with worm castings, and place a thin layer in your mesh trays.
Worm castings make great nutritional supplements for all of your plant growing needs. They don't have any risk of burning your plants, so they're safe to use with your indoor plants, outdoor raised garden beds, seed-starting and microgreens trays, anywhere you grow plants!
This kit really makes sprouting easy. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and it keeps the jars at just the right angle so they drain properly. Start the first jar this week and the second one next week, and you will have a constant supply of fresh sprouts!
I love this little indoor watering can so much! You always want to water your seedlings and microgreens from the bottom, and this long spout makes that super easy to do. Plus, it holds quite a bit of water, so you don't have to fill it as often as some others.
